About Setvertex
By creating more sustainable and user-friendly access to historical places through digital technologies, SetVertex aims to accelerate virtual restoration and conservation of cultural heritages and increase understanding of our past.
Explore, Learn, Revive
SetVertex is a nonprofit research organization that has been created to act in favor of cultural heritage in areas that are exceptionally vulnerable to climate change or any other natural or man-made disaster via various aid program that enables it to be flexible and to react quickly. Founded in 2022, SetVertex pioneered the application of the latest 3D, VR & AR technologies to record the preservation and celebration of cultural heritage and has worked with local partners at many sites in Bangladesh. It also regularly provides training to the local professionals. SetVertex strives to fasten the acceleration of archaeological & heritage research in Bangladesh through the latest technologies termed “Digital Archaeology”. It also connects new audiences to heritage tourism and studies through digital devices like place-based web, mobile, and VR headsets that inspire further research, reflection, conversation, and imagination.

We are?
SetVertex has a group of young, enterprising and talented people who have a reputation for success in the study and research of technology with archeology, architecture, history and heritages. SetVertex strives to connect new audiences to heritage through digital documentation and the creation of place-based web, mobile and immersive experiences that inspire reflection, conversation and imagination. We are working and determined to make the common people aware of history and heritage. Our aim is to popularize boring subjects like history.
Mahmudul Hasan
Chairman & CEO
Mahmudul Hasan is the Chairman of the Board and CEO of SetVertex. Mahmud is currently serves on the board of the non-profit SetVertex. Mahmud’s professional career has involved diverse businesses including high technology manufacturing and software, real estate development, and asset management. He has lectured at various universities & organizations as a guest speaker.
Shamim Azad
Founding Director
Greetings from Architect Shamim Azad!
He is a licensed architect with 10 years of experience. Mr. Shamim Graduated from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2010. He has full membership in the Institution of Architects of Bangladesh (IAB).
Mr. Shamim is the Co-founder of SetVertex, and partner and co-founder of Deziden ltd. He worked for several architectural studios and private clients with experience in the field of residential, commercial, and industrial building design, interior design, 3d modeling, Rendering, visualization, Branding & Graphic content Creation. He has lots of experience in servicing engineering and construction management firms.
DR. Mahbubul Hasan
Founding Director
Mahbubul Hasan is the founding director of SetVertex. Over the years he has been an active volunteer and president or director of several non-profits and community organizations.
Mahbubul has always been interested in architectural conservation/restoration and the built environment’s influence on how people have lived worked and played through the ages. He holds a Ph.D. with high distinction from Jahangirnagar University majoring in Digital Archaeology and loves digital art and photography, blogging, and public speaking.
Our Mission
To preserve the archeological resources of the country through joint research work with local and foreign organizations and to include students and professionals in the protection of archeological resources by providing appropriate training to all concerned.

We produce Virtual Tour experiences of historical places with audio and text description.
Documentation
We create realistic 3D models of archaeological heritages and artifacts through the application of reality capture technologies.
Virtual Restoration
We restore ancient archaeological sites through data visualization.
Training
We train the students and professionals in documentation and storytelling through in-person and virtual workshops.
Artifacts Recording
We record and analyze artifacts and preserve them in a virtual server for further research.

We create and restore a historical site with its own time laps & provide open access this virtual time laps to all that can be termed as ‘Time Machine’.
